1. Nature of the scheme
The membership scheme of H R Foundation ("the foundation") is a charitable initiative. It is not an insurance policy, and membership does not create a contract of insurance, a guaranteed payment or an automatic entitlement to any benefit.
2. Membership
- Membership fee: to be confirmed by the foundation.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information.
- Membership becomes active only after the approved fee is paid, the payment is verified and the application is approved. The date of activation is the effective membership date.
- The foundation may reject an application or suspend a membership in accordance with its approved rules.
3. Waiting period
A waiting period of 6 months applies from the effective membership date. It ends on the same calendar date 6 months later or, where that date does not exist, on the last day of that month. Membership must remain active throughout.
4. Proposed death-benefit support
- The maximum stated support is up to ₹2,00,000.
- The member must have been under 60 years of age, subject to the approved rules.
- Membership must have been active and the full waiting period completed.
- A claim must be submitted by the nominee and verified by the foundation.
- Any support, and its amount, is at the foundation's discretion and subject to its approved terms, available funds and verification.
5. Nominees and claims
Members must name a nominee and confirm that the nominee has agreed to share their details. Nominee details and claim documents are confidential and are used only to administer the scheme.
- The nominee submits the claim on the membership page with the member's membership ID, the nominee's registered mobile number and a copy of the death certificate.
- The foundation verifies the death certificate and the membership, and may ask for further documents if needed.
- After verification, any approved amount is transferred to the nominee's bank account. The foundation collects the bank details directly from the nominee during verification.
- The foundation aims to complete the process within 45 days of receiving complete documents. Where further documents are requested, this period is counted from when they are received.
